MariBeli Butik Internship Experience
I started my internship at MariBeli Butik company on July 2020 until early of November 2020. The company was a small retail company located at Kenanga City Wholesale Center.
MariBeli Butik is an online store which is selling Baju Kurung Moden. Maribeli Butik have been founded and established since 2012. Since then, the company have been growing every day. The company offers the best quality of female’s apparels such as Baju Kurung, Kaftan and blouse in the online market. All of Baju Kurung sold by the company are self-owned and supplied by a local factory in Klang, Kaftan are supplied from China while Blouses are supplied from Indonesia.
My job there was as a graphic designer, which met my job scope as a multimedia student. Working there as a graphic designer, it is essential to know how to use the Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Luckily, my subjects meet all the requirements. As a graphic designer, my job mainly to edit new and old apparels, design posters to promote sales for seasonal events, edit model photos to upload on online store and social media, and also decorating online stores.
I have to admit that, working in such a small retail sometimes makes me do more than just a graphic designer would do. Sometimes I also handle the sales daily data, served customers online/walk-in, and even prepare the postage for those who ordered from online platform (Shopee, Lazada, Zalora etc)
It was a good experience while undergoing my internship there. All staffs there were nice and treated me like a daughter and sister. It is a recommended place to do the internship here.
